Gleaner A-330 on F combine?

Has anyone ever run this combination? I have found the head near me and I am considering going to narrow rows? My main concern is will the head work on the combine with 23.1x26 tires and not be hitting the adjacent rows?

You can mount the tires dish in or dish out. Just do some measuring and chalk the rows on the tires, then check another 30 inches out....compare to head width.

Neighbor had an early F with 18.4x26 tires and a 330 head. He got tired of running down corn and got a 430 head. Should be 430 heads available.

I rebuilt the 330 to fit an E, then K2.

You can probably find a black frame 430 easily and for the same money....and be happier in the end as well. Ben

I had an orange 430 head on the F2, with 28L-26 tires. They stuck out a bit on each side of the head, but were ok if you planted straight. Carried extremely well in mud.

I farmed a lot with a 4-38 head, ran a little bit with a 4-30 head that seemed tight - the ladder ticks the corn on the next row with 4-30. (To be fair my F turned into an F2 turned into an F3 each with wider stance and fatter tires.....)

I've seen a pair of 3-38 heads for an F on auctions they sure looked tight.

Not sure 3-30 would really work?

Drag out your tape measure and measure the width of the combine at it's widest point. The wheels can often be reversed to reduce width.120" is the width you will have to get between.
