Combine Monitor

Curious if anyone has built their own simple warning monitor system for an older antique combine to keep any eye on a few things. Looking to install some speed sensors on some of the main shafts and maybe a grain tank buzzer. Thought about using an old planter monitor for the box and wire everyting to that, but didn't know if any manufacturers of the past offered something like this that could be salvaged. It seems like I recall a 6600 that had a series of amber warning lights on the constole next to the seat but it was more integrated into the console and I'd rather have a stand-only monitor to contain everything. Let me know your ideas.

We had a 1978 IH 715 that had a stand-alone shaft speed monitor. It was a small box hanging from the roof of the cab. It had switches on the back to disable the monitoring of any or all shafts if need be. Pretty sure it had a rheostat on one channel so you could set it to monitor the cleaning fan. Maybe check the salvage yards for one ?

The 6600 monitor IS pretty much a "stand alone" unit that could be adapted to another machine with some work and a wiring diagram. Monitor box is Key #7.

Dickey-John made them first for the combines as I remember having a vintage one in my first old JD 7700 combine
