To much cob in corn sample

My JD 6620 Titan 2 usually does a reasonable job in corn but this year I notice a lot of crushed corn cob in the bin. I did do soybeans earlier but about the only thing that I changed from last years corn setting was the concave spacing which I had to close and some adjusting on the sieve and chaffer.

I have adjusted the opening on the concave but I may have it set wrong yet. I did not change the cylinder from it's setting of 400 rpm and the fan speed is about the same as last year. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can get a cleaner corn.

i am assuming you should know more than i do about combines ,, do one thing at a time and remember which setting everything is before you move it /////.your concave needs opened more ?, reduce your cylinder speed ? reduce the seive openings ?

Slow the cylinder and open the concave till you start seeing corn left on the cobs.....then tighten things up a tick.

You are looking for bare whole cobs on the ground.

If you have a chopper, you will need to shut the machine down full and look on the walkers.
