so did more checking to try to figure out why my new to me 850 is beating up corn so bad. makes some of it into powder. read some past posts about filler plates. I have no filler plates in mine and wondering if I should add some. corn is around 16% concaves way open, almost 2" in the back and 1 1/2 in front. wondering if cobs are just bouncing inside the cylinder and that is why i'm having trouble. my old 510 has filler plates. I remember this from all the times of backing the cylinder up by hand when I plugged it up in beans. did nice on corn though.
