don't seem like too much but I need to look at it again. the little bars were on the inside and we moved them to the outside thinking that was the issue, but maybe too much getting by and going up the rethresher.

Gary,

Look at the very front of the concave and see if there are filler plates in the front of the concave. For wheat the concave would have two blanks and two perforated fillers and front four sections of the concave. These filler must be removed our you will crack the corn. Concave setting should be set and cob thickness. I will attach a photo of a similar filler strips. If you do have them. You will have to remove the front section of the grain pan to get to the nuts on the filler strips. The front pan section has bolts on the front and use a wood block and hammer to drive them out the front. Make sure you move the block around to not tear up the grain pan. Masseypride

is this picture looking down from the top or up from the bottom? right now the rear measures 2" and the front wide open and it still cracks the corn, makes some into powder. the top beater that is to have serated edges are pretty much smooth. can see some seration. not sure if that problem or what.
