8820 burnt three weeks ago, just tonite setteled with insurance co, told me I had to deal with salvage on the combine. what will junk yard give me for the combine?...or the scrap yard probaly by the pound?..cab and some of the engine burnt.
 
about 5 years ago in burnt a 1680 and I kept a lot of parts that could be reused, I cut the rest up and hauled to scrap dealer I think I got close to 2 grand but scrap was higher then.
 
Usually, Worthington Ag have a pretty good idea what they'll pay without seeing it. They'll probably ask you how good the tires are, the drive train condition, how bad the engine is burnt and if it would run with a little work, stuff like that, maybe ask you to email some pictures of it. They usually don't pay much though, but if you could work out a good enough deal, they haul it away and you don't have to mess with it.

Last I checked Mill Iron was at .07 per pound. They are where I take everything. Pay better than Mount Vernon.
