JD216 flex head scuffed on bottom

I just finished my beans and my plastic sliders on the bottom of my flex are getting raggid. The wear is mostly to the back of the sliders, pieces are starting to tear away giving it a rough appearance. Before soybean harvest, i fabricated my own sliders/skid plate under the wobble box and on the oppposite side too. They too are wore thin to the rear. and they are 3/16 plate.I know i harvested some gravely/stoney fields, but the stones were packed down good with a crowft packer after planting. Wonderin if my flex head is tipped a little to the back, causing the rapid wear to the rear?My question is, is this pretty normal wear?My HHC is in position #2, position #3 puts it too tight to the ground.
Just a thought, could changin tire preasure in the front tires, releasing air in the rear tires get my header wearing more along entire surface area?........John

Need to know what combine your running the JD 216 on. That makes a world of difference to what you can do.

I would think lowering air in the rear tires would lean it back further increasing the wear on the rear of the skids.
As to the plate under the wobble box, is your spring that removes weight from the left end of the cycle bar OK? Mine broke on my 213 head last year and things got all bunchy on that end till I figured out what was wrong.

Also is your accumulator charged correctly??? If it is not you will not have the lift effect from it that you should.
