Gleaner f2 chopper

I finished rebuilding the hydro on machine and now want to install the chopper I got with it when I got it. Does anyone know how the belt is ran to drive it.

google "Gleaner F2 chopper". May get some pix there. Long belt runs along right side of machine to double pulley on chopper. Use large pulley (slower) for corn, with knives retracted. Use small pulley (faster) for soybeans, with knives fully extended. Make sure corn kit and curtain are installed when in corn, or cobs will be driven back and damage the walkers. If not using the chopper, it does not have to be removed...take out two bolts on front, let it swing down, and bolt a steel bar in place to push it back, out of the way. Belt can be removed from drive pulley, and tied back...no need to remove it from the machine. Do you have the operator manual? Pics and advice there.

Already googled it and yes I have a manual but neither shows how idler pulley is set up is there actually two pulleys there. Also how tall is the curtain I need to make one maybe out of old belt from round baler

I was thinking there were two pulleys, but it's been a long time, and my memory isn't what it used to be. The different idler pulleys make up the difference in the two chopper pulleys, so the same belt does the job.

There are 2 pulleys on the idler assembly. One is flat and the other is v shaped for the v of the belt. Long belt ,got to keep it from flopping around. Have to support both the pull side and the return side.

Pics of how belt is ran plus size of corn curtain. Switch on Tattletale 3 module at bottom selects what speed you are running the chopper at (fast/small pulley or slow/large pulley). Sorry a couple pics are sideways...used my iPhone. Mike
