I picked the first patch of corn yesterday, it turned off better than expected. I have a KL238 orange corn head on my Gleaner K, I noticed the head was wanting to break off some of the stalks instead of pulling them down through the stripper rolls and/or plates. It did this at the end of last year but the corn was really dry, yesterday I was picking corn at the 20-22% range. I'm getting a very clean sample in the bin but i'm sure the extra fodder going through the machine just makes it work harder. I watched a few youtube videos and the heads shown was not putting hardly any stalks in the machine. What do I need to adjust on mine? I do have a manual for the head but I don't know if its a snapping roll or plate adjustment. Thanks for all the help you guys have given me!
