6620 combine platform reel won't go down

Having trouble getting the reel to lower on a 915 head. First year with both the 6620 and the 915. The reel raises good but just don't wanna go back down, the variable speed on the f/h works fine which makes me wanna think its something to do with the head. Sitting in the seat looking out at the head the right side works good up and down, the left side works good going up but not so much going down. I can bump the lever several times to lower and it will go down but just very small amounts at a time till the cylinder likes about 2 inches being pulled completely in, then it will drop the last 2 like it should when normal. Thought it might be air in the system but wasn't real sure how one would bleed it, found a screw towards the top of the cylinder on the right and cracked it open. Some air did come out but it didn't make any difference in the way the thing works! Any ideas as to what I should look for would be greatly appreciated!

You need to bleed the reel lift cylinders.

lift the reel up install the lift stops. Lower the reel down on the stops. The next step takes two people. Open the bleeder screw while holding the lever to the lift position. When you get clear air free oil tighten the screw.

You have trapped air in the left cylinder circuit. So the air is acting like and accumulator when you lower the leader. Common problem on headers that have set awhile. You also may have a cylinder that will allow air into the cylinder but not oil out.
