bleeding brakes massey 850

anyone ever have trouble bleeding the right hand brake on an 850 massey combine? I don't get any air out of the bleed screw but have to pump pedal 4 or 5 times to get it to operate. tried holding down the arm incase it was just compressing air in the wheel cylinder but that did not seem to help either.

Try letting it gravity bleed for a little while before you try to pump it up.

If gravity doesn't work, get a huge syringe filled with brake fluid and blow back towards the master cylinder thru the bleeder. A small amount of teflon tape will keep the threads from leaking during this procedure. If nothing else, this method will prime the system enough for the "pump-and-crack" method.

If the syringe doesn't fix it, replace the master cylinder.

I will try the syringe. I let them set about a week to bleed on their own with the bleed screw shut. seemed to work on the left side. might be a bad master cylinder on the right side.
