I've found a John Deere 95 combine, been lookin for one
awhile. But it's got the original head with the old style
feederhouse on it. Does anybody have a quick tach
feederhouse for sale that is in pretty decent shape? Before I
we're to go but the machine just kind of wanting to get an idea
if there's any throats out there and what one would cost. I'm in
centeral Ohio. Thanks!

For some reason the feeder house for the 95 is the hardest to find.I looked a long time and posted on here and a younger fellow from somewhere in out west had one and was coming to the two-cylinder expo in Iowa. We slid it from his truck to mine with no problems. I have found two for my 105 and have seen several for 55's but even dealer friends tell me the 95 is the hardest to find. You will like it as we went from a 435 cornhead to a late 444 with factory poly snoots and it works great and takes less power. Good luck with your search. Tom

Thanks Tom! Yeah that's what I've heard also, kinda why I wanted to get an idea before I went and bought the machine. Cause I'd really like to run the newer 40 series corn heads and 200 or 900 series flex platforms. So I can have floating cutter bar

Maybe you know this already- The 40 series corn head is easy. The 200 or 900 series platform will take some re-engineering. Those require a hydraulic circuit to run the reel, and that is more oil than a 95 will want to pump without some additional oil cooling or a second system. Ditto with the header height control. It can be done, but it isn't as simple as driving in with quick tach and coupling the drive shaft.

I use 105 JD feederhouses on my JI CASE 1660s. Need a few modifications to make them fit but work very good.

I have a buddy with 2 105s I helped him rig up the real pump for the platform. So I kinda know what I'm in for

I know where one is if it has not been hauled off yet.

On the same topic, does anyone know where one is for a JD 55? I have a buddy that needs one.
