oliver vs new idea mounted picker

from what i'm told the new idea 319 mounted picker has a "universal" mounting bracket for the tractor. It looks to be the same as an Oliver 74 i'm looking at. does anyone know for sure if the Oliver is universal mount?
buddy has the 319 cousin has 74. neither used in years and want to mount one on my 560.

What was the 319 on last? A 460 and a 560 need a longer section in them. The frame has about a six inch extension up near the front to make them fit six cylinder tractors. Dad had a 319 without that and the neighbors 319 had it. You will need the correct axle brackets to mount the 319 on your 560 as well. You should be able to find them with some searching. When dad died we threw several sets away as I could not find any one who wanted them and the picker was long gone. I would think there would be more parts available for the NI than the Oliver but in all the years of picking with dads 319 I do not ever remember fixing anything. Not sure about the mounted pickers but we have a pull type Oliver and it shells a lot of the corn and leaves it on the ground.
 
I do not remember the model number of the New Idea mounted picker we had on the farm. It was sold privately around 1978. It had originally been mounted to a 350 Farmall. In 1969, we purchased a 450 Farmall and the picker was put on that tractor, which was an improvement in many ways. There was a lot of corn in need of picking in those days, and it was always a push to get it all done before the snow came. There were main gearboxes not rated for the power of the 450, resulting in some gearboxes "grenading" on the tractor.
 
not sure what it was one. buddy bought it by outbidding an iron buyer but the guy had mostly oliver tractors. could have been on a 1650 or something like that.
