Massey 550 countershaft

I am trying to get the countershaft out. I have everything but the bearing on each side. Are these bearings pressed on? Should I remove the entire housing and have the shaft pressed out? Any help would be much appreciated. Nathan

Someone can correct me if I am wrong I believe the shaft come out cab side only. The bearing are not pressed on but do have an end play when replaced.R.G. Martin here on the forum has my old shop manual for the 550 he could probably look it up for you.

one of the massey 300s was not that bad to do,,,.it took 3 days to make that repair on a 750 massey ,. there is a hole in the cabas a knok out to work thru,. i dont think they are pressed on , but they are cussed off,. cant recall all the methods used ,. except putting it back went fast

The pulley on the LH side needs some end play upon reassembly. I don't remember how many thousanths but you need to bottom out the bearings in the hub then back the nut off the required distance and pull the pulley out to the nut. I made as simple puller out of a piece of channel iron.
