JD moisture tester?

Hi,there's an old digital JD SW16060 moisture tester for sale online reasonably priced just wondering if they're reasonably accurate and reliable? Can't justify a new one for 75 acres,thank you.
 
Custom cutter here in the 80's or 90's had one he used it ran pretty close to the elevators certified one I have no idea what model his was though,, his when he first got it we did half a dozens tests comparing it to the elevators one and then we had a base to go from, this his read 1 1/2 points higher than theirs did but it has been many years so it may have been reversed
 
They work fine til the led lights in the readout go screwy. The best I 've found is the Dole, the one with the sample cup on a balance beam with the readout on a large circular scale. It's over 20 years old. Make sure you factor in the temperatures effect on the moisture when comparing testers results. Ben
 
Ok thank you both very much! They only want $75 for it and it's working in the pictures so we may take a chance on that one. We have a preagro 35 now we've had worked on a couple of times and it's still not working properly.
 
Is it the triangle shaped one? I have one of those, and it is very good. Had it rebuilt once when the display cracked, and it was like $60.
