Case 600 special belt lengh

Could some one give me a belt lenght on the drive belt . When I got the combine it was missing 2 belts the reel and this belt , it looks very short I was told it is the replacement for the Case belt.

you do know you have to pull the outer pulley off the upper sheave right to install that belt? From my view it looks pretty close to being right

U also have to drive a short 2-4 sharpen on one end into your front pulley to drive it apart to help get belt on.

no you don't I have changed Many of them in the last 50 years

Using a 2-4 is the way our case mechanic show us two do on our two 660 combines we had.

Usually all you have to do is put the belt in the front sheaves and give it a tug...it will pull down into the variable pulley and give enough length to put it on the rear pulley. Install rear outer sheave and adjust.

My F Gleaner is driven the same way.Next time I have two change that drive belt I'll try that way .IF it's faster or easier I,am game thanks.

Will I took a break from the combine . And in the meantime we had a bad hail storm which laid down about half the crop.
I hate to try to install the belt in case I have to return it . The out side measurement of my belt is 88 ", it sure seams short . Thanks
