Case 600 engine ID

It looks like I am going to have to overhaul the combine engine . The ID tag has numbers but the model line is blank .Any idea how to order parts and a good sorce .

A 600 has a Case 188 gas or dsl engine for power

I know very little about CASE machinery, however, I do own a case Tractor 610 B with a 188 Gasoline Case Engine installed from a case 600 Combine.

I also own a spare case 188 Gasoline Engine for my tractor also removed from a case 600 Combine. There is NO MODEL NUMBERS on the IDENT: Tags. Only a SERIAL #

I use a 600 Case Combine Manual for Tune up specs:

Thanks for the info .It is locked and I though I could it free seeing that it has been sitting for 10 yr. But it looks like it was ran without oil.

Thanks,. From your photos your combine looks like mine , what does the special offer over a plane 600 . Mine has been rigged for beans for most of its life but I am changing it to wheat.

The 600 Special has a rubber check flap behind the cylinder, cup flighting in the clean grain elevator, a straight through grain auger and came with diamond tires stock, all changes were geared toward less cracking of beans, you might check the rear concave clearance as I think they would have set it wider for the beans, other wise cylinder speed will be higher and the normal concave sieve and fan adjustments I can post you the suggested settings chart if you did not get a ops I might even have a extra 600 ops here

Thanks , I will check it out , all I have done is change the cyl. speed to app 1100 rpm and get the reel working. it looks like the engine is going to be most work . you posted a chart in the past that I will go by . for the price they want for engine parts I may replace .

I picked up a complete 201 power unit from a 660 combine at auction this spring. May put it in a 630. Paid 200 for the engine. Still a few around in central Michigan.
