IH 820 jackshaft shielding question

Trying to replace the missing jackshaft shielding on my Case IH 820 grain head (13 foot).

Regarding the two shield support brackets (item #8 in the diagram)---I can see that the outer bracket attaches behind the bearing (#7). But I cannot see how to attach the inner support bracket to the back of the header.

The diagram shows a support (9), but the book says this is only for the 20 and 22.5 foot headers.

Can anyone advise? The header came without these parts, so I don't know how they were originally attached. Thanks for any advice.

I never owned a IH header, so just guessing , but take a 13 foot header subtract the width of the feeder house, i suppose they suspended the shield from each end.
