IHC 715 Hydraulics

Won't hold! Lift the header up and it drifts down. Not terribly serious but sometimes you can't get from the cab to the lock up fast enough before it's floated down further than you can get the lock in place. There is no sign of any leakage at the cylinders. What is the most common cause? Thanks

Likely, there's a couple of "lock valves", (basically steel pins with a nylon head) in the control valve and the nylon heads have been chipped or otherwise damaged.

Was looking at a715 for sale with a bad engine and was wondering what engine was on them. It is a diesel machine. Sorry for hijacking your thread, I think your problem is in the hydrolic valve, prolly needs new seals internaly
