Value of 1020 head

They made 1020's for a lot of years with some in model changes (mainly the cycle drive).

Also, the popularity of the draper heads(in bean country)have reduced the value of floating platform heads(maybe not in the 20" sizes as much).

So, that is a pretty broad question.

That said, I'd say from $1000-$9000 depending on condition.

Dave, you might check tractorhouse.com. The have a lot of them listed. May give you an idea of value.

I was at Ted Everitts Fri. and I saw one that needed some work go for $1500 and a nice one was about $5000, I think. I am in the market for a 20 ft. one, but I don't want a junk one and I'm not paying $5000 for one. I will continue with my 15 ft head. I don't know what year the one's there were. According to the number, mine is a 92 model.

Bought a 2002 1020, 20' for 7,000. Had hydraulic fore and aft, field tracker, lights, and a rebuilt sickle. Vey nice head.

Dave, just my opinion but I would look for one that is a 1994 or newer. Spend a little more to get one that is ready to go and save yourself some hassle....
