Are the straps from my last post ALWAYS on the head and bolts added when making it rigid OR are the straps stored in a box and added only when converting to rigid? My seller has no idea what straps are and has no separate parts. Did they get lost or are they on the head waiting for bolts? Hope this makes sense!

#24 in the picture below. My header came without, I got them from CaseIH. I think I had to get the turnbuckle/clevis new also. I see no good way to leave these parts on the header. Poor design, in my opinion.

I have all green combines but this applies to all who loose stuff like that. I mounted a tool box on the combines and keep the lock up bolts as well as others part with the machine so when I need them I am not digging around the shop all day.

I had a Gleaner F2, and I added two toolboxes on the side of the grain tank. Forward one was for forward parts, like sickle sections, rivets & tool, corn head parts. Rear box was for parts on anything behind the header.

No. It's been several years. It wasn't a lot. You could just take some flat stock and make the plates. I will say the operators manual is very good about showing these things. In the flex position, a little piece of log chain is the limiter for the drive head, mounted a little back of the wobble box. A turnbuckle/clevis replaces it in the locked up position. That was probably the most expensive part. I don't see any good way to leave it in there.

I brought some for my 20 foot 1020 header about 5 years ago and paid around $200.00 for what I needed. if I put wheat out I used the same head and make the cutter rigid.
