Do they have the pins like on the 820 head to lock it rigid? Not seeing any out there less than 20'. I would like to find something closer to the size of my 820 so it fits thru my 20'doors for service. Did they make them smaller?

My 1020 has little bent plates which you have to bolt up underneath it to lock up the HHC mechanism. There's also a turnbuckle to hold up the wobblebox frame.

My header is 20', which works good for me. I imagine they made a 17-18'?

Bob, are we talking about the same thing? The 820 I have can be either a rigid or flex head. There are heavy pins that lock it in place for rigid use. I was wondering did the 1020 have anything similar. I looked at one today and the guy did not seem to know.

Yes you can bolt a little plate with two 1/2" carriage bolt to make a 1020 head ridged. There is a pin on the wobble box end you have to use to lock it up. I believe 1020 header sizes are 13'-30'. I've had a 20' and a 30'. Now I run a 2020 30'. The 1020 series is a better head than the 2020 series.

yes a 1020 head can be lock into rigid. there are straps that are bolted to the frame to lock it in. sizes I believe are 15,
16.5, 17.5, 20 22.5'.

I already planned on being there. I go to most of his auctions. Bought my combine there in Dec. 2015. Thanks for the reminder.

I used to go all the time then work and kids slowed me down. I bought alot of my equipment from them over the years. Probably won't make this one if I take off work for the farm show.

Wont make it up to the auction and probably wont make the farm show either. Trying to save my vacation days from planting season and Deere days is coming soon so taking off for that so I can get my pesticide credits there too.
