IH 205 combine

A few questions on IH 2O5 Combine: what size motor is in it? what tractor had the same motor? What's this combine worth with a bad engine? with a good engine?

I believe the 205 combine has the IH 221 cubic inch 6-cylinder gas engine. This I believe is the same engine that was used in the IH 460. Not sure what the value would be for a running combine, but I suspect the price would be about what you could get for a good engine. I have a 1972 205 combine my IH dealer said was one of the last ones he sold new in 1972 when IH had a close out sale on them. Think he told me they sold 18 that year.

My dad bought this combine used in about 1987 for $1,500 at an auction. I used it until 2012 when I bought a JD 4420. I did break the straw shaker crankshaft in 2005 but was able to find a NOS replacement to fix it. I would sell mine for $750 if someone wanted it as I have not used it in the last 5 years. But I do start it and run it a bit every year. Its always been kept in a shed. Al

$750 would be a steal for that combine pictured. Where might you be located?

I am located in NE Wisconsin near Green Bay. Not much demand for these combines in my area. So I just keep it for a spare in case my 4420 breaks down. Al
