This is the only post card that I've ever came up with that has
Cockshutt combines on it....Postmarked July 14,1961 and was sent
to Breckenridge,Michigan....Those cream and red Cockshutts were
a nice looking combine.

Thinking it's the farmers own combine and the custom cutters behind him. You would have seen a similar sight on our farm. We ran a Massey and our custom cutter ran Gleaners.

Great picture. My dad had a 428 Cockshutt like those three - bought it new in 1957, traded it off in 1962. There was a bit smaller version, the 427. That series was the only ones with that paint scheme (the very last of the 428's were painted all red).

In 1971 Dad bought a 427 Cockshutt combine at a farm sale 10 miles away...
We used it beside our E Gleaner for several years...It had been sold new
at the Kenoma,MO Cockshutt dealer 30 miles south of us....It had the 237
Chrysler Industrial 6 engine..There were several 427-428 parts machines
around plus the cylinder bars from a 80 Massey worked in it..
