I have a JD45 with the 145 gas engine. I'm harvesting beans, the beans are tall and good. I also have a problem with a lot of water hemp. Earlier in the harvest the cylinder would jam up. Now it seems like the feeder house is plugging up constantly, literally every 15-20 feet. I have the machine in first gear, with the selective speed drive in the slowest setting. Because I'm driving so slow the reel is beating the beans out before they are even cut. The reel is also set to it's slowest RPM. I'm also only taking two rows of beans at a time to avoid jamming the machine up. Any ideas on how to fix my problems? I know this is a small machine, but it should do better than this.
