Installing tank-type engine heater on D348 engine

I want to install a tank-type engine heater on my 1420 combine with the D348 engine. I was wondering if anyone could advise if a tank type engine heater can be installed on this engine. And maybe point-out where the connections to the engine should be? Thanks for any advice!

I'm not familiar with the D348, but I've got a tank heater on a ford. Basically the block drain tap was removed and replaced with a hose nipple. This supplies the tank heater using a short length of hose, to keep the heater below the coolant, down about level with the oil pan. Make sure the heater sits upright.
The heated coolant returns to the engine via a Y in the heater hose line close to the head. I have a 1500w heater on 6cyl ford diesel, and it works well....needs about 4 hours at -20. I've replaced it once in about 10 years. I'm pretty sure the tank heater will come with install instructions.

Thanks for the comment. I ordered the book on this engine, and I'm hoping that it will give some ideas on where the drains are. There's usually a block drain somewhere, for the intake of the heater. The outlet at top, what to connect to get the heated coolant back into the engine, that's the one I'm uncertain about.
