Case 600/660 Combines

Hello, i have some work to do to my Case 660 combine and would like to know if the 600 parts interchange. I could not find the Case 600 parts book on the caseih website to cross reference part numbers to the 660. There are multiple things i would be interested in because i have seen a 600 advertised for parts and would like to know if they overall generally interchange. Also, i have work to do on the side panels where the straw walker broke and forced the arms holding it in front down through the sides. Since i need to repair the metal i would like to paint it and i am unsure of the paint color. Is the 660 Flambeau red, or Power Red? Van Sickle seems the only option for Flambeau, does anyone have experience with product and how it matches. I am unsure of the year of my 660, but it has the desert sand Case 660 painted on the grain bin and rear hood, so i assume it is a 70' model.
Thank you.

Most part will interchange between the
two except if i rember right the sives
on a 660 are different carnt rember if
they are wider or the frame is taller.
We ran 600 and 660 for years and had
one of each for parts machines and
swaped parts from one to the other as
needed

like stated the 600/660 machines are almost the same machines for the most part,, engines are different 188 gas in the 600 201 gas in the 660 both used the same 188 dsl if equipped,, as for paint,, 600 and 660 through 1969 used Flambeau paint, the 1970 model's have Power Red paint,, the 69 and 70 models do not have the Eagle on the rear straw hood sides,,, and have a fabricated bottom elevator bottoms,, "they bolt on and are made of steel rather than tin" also 70 model headers all have the "tire tread" log like on 70 series tractors and the model #'s on the bin and rear hood, the pic above shows the 1966-1969 model decal, I have both parts books if you need something checked feel free to post here and ask I will scan what you need

Thanks for the reply. My machine does not have the eagles on the side, my one elevator bottom clips on(tailings), and the other is on a hinge(clean grain). My decal on the bin and rear hood is Case 660 in what looks like desert sand. You lost me on the 70 model headers part. So i guess it is power red, but it sure looks orange-ish to me. Any tricks to tell Power red from Flambeau red by the look? My other equipment here is IH, no Case to compare. If i get a chance ill try to borrow a camera to throw up a picture.

Mentioned was the sieves, my upper chaffer seems to be falling apart, i was wondering if the flats in the back, or rolled pieces up front are available anywhere. It looks to me they just ran the rod through and clipped the pieces on. I replaced my cleaning sieve from the dealer but it came from Vintage parts, i was told the original design was better then the replacement.

maybe these will help,,, the header auger I meant to say has more feed fingers on the 1970 models only,, they also have the serial tag with the tire tread logo like in the pics, as for the sieve,,, is it the top or the bottom one that has damage? the rows" can be replaced

Yes the pictures help, thank you. I have the same logo, and bottom auger doors, not sure about the logo on the header tag right now. Looks like the same color as mine, sure seems orange-ish, not sure of its power or flambeau.

As for the sieves both have damage. I bought a new bottom and it has the finger style, but i still saved the old sieve. As for the top i replaced one row of the flat in the back that was missing, but now it has lost a rolling row piece. My bottom sieve was missing many pieces of the rolling style that is why i replaced the sieve, since i could not find that style of steel for replacement. I was told that the old style cleaned better, so would like to repair the chaffer sieve with the same style, i assume if i order a new sieve it will just be the finger style.

the bottom sieve is the same for 600/660/700/900/960 combines I will have to check on the top one,, to have both of them torn up, could be sign that they are not being held in place,, they need to be Solidly held in place both in their mounting and in their opening/adjustment rod area,, and yes yours is Power Red and Desert Sunset

I like the higher cross auger on the grain tank on the late 1660s. Have broke a couple cross augers in wet corn with extensions on the bins. I have seen one late 1660 with factory bin extension and high auger.

Thanks for the verification on the color. As for the sieves they are not torn up, the wire/rod that holds the pieces through the sieve is worn 50 to 90%, and when it hits 100% the piece will fall off. I just cannot find that corrugated style steel or i would repair my old cleaning sieve and put it back in instead of the replacement short finger sieve. As for my chaffer sieve i am making flat pieces to put back in where the rounded/corrugated pieces went, id rather find that style of steel to use to replace.

I forgot to ask is there a source on those panel clips anywhere? I think i looked up the part number and it showed unavailable.
