sunday,,i discovered the spragged clutch on the recleaner for my 750 massey was worn flat ,.. it was that way when I got it,. pr -o claimed it never needed a recleaner Anyway ,. and he is partly rite, and I ran it that way a couple yrs but decided to make needed repairs to fix it rite. I thoughtall my repairs were only needed on the recleane r bearings ,, ran a little while and it turned out there was REAL issues on the drive side on the opposite side the compression spring was shattered too ,.. went to the bone yard and removea a spring from the flywheel of a massey 3 baler , then took my hand grinder and regrooved the cast iron worn parts to mate one another ,,. that took about 1 hour to tool up ,, been running 2 days and the thing worx great ,, had help from my neighbor farmer pal , he,quipped "Jim You have the 30s babies mentality of the depression era,... Fix it up and make it do " well at least it worked this time... lol
