was real bad this year, cleaned rad and air cleaner every day, had the machine smoldering about four times got it put out with water each time, but never did I see any flames....8820 JD under grain tank, behind engine.......anyone else have a problem?

flip up the seat and remove the cover and wash it out real good, the chaff gets real deep in there. I do it every year on my 7720. I also keep a leaf blower around and blow it off every night.

I totally agree with 4520. Every night we blow ours off if it's been running an hour or all day. It makes everything so much nicer. Only thing I would add is go get you some 3m dust mask and plenty of eye drops.

It was a funny year around here for beans. Green stems and bottom leaves still on plants, and the beans were coming off at 10 to 13%.

Seems like the dust had enough of that green in it to make it really sticky this year.

We laughed during harvest, that whatever field we pulled into, we were blessed with a crosswind. We blew everything off/out every day, but that's usual.

My truck on the other hand, has a pretty good layer of dust that seems cemented right to it. We finished up corn last Monday, so one of my projects today, if I get to it, is a good sponge bath. I only do that a few times a year, and I think it's time.
