1144 Massey corn head

I don't have a book for my corn head but seems to need some adjusting. one row will not pull into the head and the ear's get knocked off before the chains can grab them. based on a simple measurement that row seems to be set the widest at the rollers. the other three rows don't do too bad.

Make sure the pin that drives the spiral on the front of rollers is not missing. If they are missing it won't feed at all. Some have roll pins in them. I use a bolt with a nut and mash the end with a hammer. How are your flutes? Strippers set correctly and slightly wider to the rear? While there are better corn heads I have ran a lot of corn in many different varieties of corn and weather through a Massey corn head and always got the crop out.
