IH 403 hydro

Not mine, but close to me, and apparently not many gasoline hydros were made.

Redroundhead, There still are at least two of these near me in Mishicot. One was still working this year combining wheat. The other might not be used anymore as the last couple of years he had someone do his combining. In about 2005 he had the hydro rebuilt by Two Creeks Garage. I will have ask the guy who does his combining now if he still has the combine. I still have my IH 205, but I think next year it will be time to sell it. Haven't used it in 5 years since I got the JD 4420. Al

Cool. Good to know that there are still some around our area.

How did your wheat due this year?

How do you like that 4420? Must drive like a Cadillac, compared to the old 205.

Red,
My wheat ran 95 bushels using the weights from TMFC. Could have been better if the geese had not pulled out a lot of the wheat last winter on a couple of hills that didn't have snow cover. My oats make 153 bushels. Was about the best I ever did for oats. But this years price not so good, as TMFC paid $3.25 for wheat and $1.50 oats.

And yes, the 4420 makes combining much easier than the 205. I can easily fill my 4 gravity boxes in one afternoon, while with the 205 I could only do 3 on a good day. And after combining in air-conditioned comfort, I would never go back to a combine without a working air-conditioner. Don't know how I was able to combine with my IH 93 that didn't even have a cab.
