Yesterday I attended the Shumaker estate sale about 15 miles from me....I had went to school with and worked
with 3 of the boys..Their parents both lived to age 91 and were married for 72 years....

It was a nice sunny day with the temp in the low 70's...

1-The E Gleaner sold for $150.....It was pretty worn out and hadn't been used in years...However the engine
was still free...You can tell that the price of scrap is down...I've seen them bring $600 for scrap..The 2 row
corn head was in the trees and sold for $25.....It hadn't been used in 30-40 years and there were 3 trees grown
in it..

2-After over 4 inches of rain prior to the sale it took an assist to get the Gleaner out of there..The river a mile
to the north was over the road 1 ft deep..

3-The 44 Massey on non factory LP with free engine sold for $100 and then resold 30 minutes later for just a
little more...It had a belt driven pecan tree shaker on the front of it..

4-The Kubota N7030U with loader sold for $6,800...It was a nice tractor with 5000 plus hours...This
had replaced a nice D-17 Allis some years ago..The smoker behind sold for $1,000...

5-After some spirited bidding the NH mower conditioner sold for $1150....The bush hog behind it sold for $350..

6-The NH 310 baler sold for $900...

No pictures but a 3 pt MF 3x14 plow sold for $130...
A 12 ft Kewanee disk sold for $170...
A 4 row AC planter sold for $70..

If it was in working condition that baler went cheap enough. Anything like it in my area would have brought $3000-$4000.
