Gleaner A/C

Neighbor hasn't got rye/wheat out. Decided my F2 could be ready quicker than his L2. Was a nice day doing it until the A/C quit. It seems to have a mind of its own. It will start up again one of these days.

The interior fan motor won't run, nor the fans outside on the condenser??? Is something not grounded. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas?

95 degrees and 51 RH with the door open wasnt any fun. And I bet it's not making 7 bushel.

I was in the same boat in the 4440 today. The compressor isn't a month old and it is not working. Those cabs can turn into a crock pot pretty quick, can't they?

Is there a relay in there somewhere that could be getting hot and quitting?

I haven't worked specifically on gleaner a/c, but i would guess since you don't have function at either fan, the problem is probably at or before the fan switch. typically the ac system (compressor and condenser fans) gets power only when the cab fan switch is on. Do you have the glass fuses, either in the rh console or up above on the rh side? I would check for power / bad connection there. Sometimes those fuse holders get corroded or loose. If you have power there, the next place i would check is probably the fan switch.

our F3 will do the same thing the relay is losing power could be a fuse holder not making good contact, breaker malfunctioning or corroded terminals ect

Did you ever figure out what it was? My F2 Did the same thing. I pulled it in the barn after wheat harvest where it worked great and then pulled it out for soybeans and the air completely stopped. The fans in the cab and outside condenser fans?
