Gleaner E fuel pump

find the lowest psi one you can find,, I always also install a fuel pressure regulator as the carbs do not like much over 2-4 psi to them or they can push gas right past the needle and seat, the pumps I use do not need a real heavy wire to power them, I like mounting as close to the tank as I can as they will push more than they will pull

I assume the original has died and is not available? I agree with Case Nutty. The most minimal pump will probably be enough. The diesel Gleaners had a sediment bowl just below and the to right side of the tank/machine. Since your bowl is part of the fuel pump, I assume it will be removed? I would try running a wire from the battery side of the coil to the pump. I don't recall there being any resistor/start/run voltage system on that machine.

Thanks for the information. I will make a cover for over mechanical pump opening and add an inline filter to replace bowl

keep your sediment bowl (with a good screen) and filter the fuel after the pump, inline filters are intended for pressure not gravity, I despise them on old tractors and I have owned at least 50 of them without the need to cut up a good fuel line.

Search eBay for a fuel pump for a Massey, part number 4222452M91. Should bolt right up. Looks identical to the fuel pump on my EIII Gleaner that has the same G226 engine. You can find it on sites other than eBay put prices may be higher. I have not checked to see if YT here stocks it. Mike
