John Deere 3800 chopper drive sprocket

Looking for the 17 tooth fan drive sprocket (part #AE34585) for a John Deere 3800 forage harvester. JD says it is no longer available. Any ideas as to who might have one.

Take your old sprocket to a machine shop. They can turn the teeth off the old sprocket and make that diameter fit a weld on sprocket. I have done this on several chopper drive sprockets. I was usually changing ratios.

Along with the JD S idea, if the sprocket is worn and due to be replaced, check the Weld-a-Sprocket display at farm stores or dealers. Can likely find the right tooth size and the hub that fits the shaft, and weld them together. Maybe $25-30.

Local machine shop was able to machine a weldon sprocket to fit the old sprocket for reasonable price. It was most frustrating finding the sprocket on ebay and tractorhouse but when you called them they didn't really have it.

Thank you for your comments.
