Haven't noticed any commentary here about rebuilding one. I have the service manual and some boxes that are going to need some parts. Easy to do or a real pain. JD 40 series corn head. Tom

That exactly are you wanting to do? Just new snap rolls or a complete rebuild?

Probably a complete rebuild. The hex shafts that drive the gathering chains are sloppy. So better give them a good going over. Tom

Pretty straightforward if you have the manual. Biggest job is cleaning out all that grease.
