I am looking for some chain for my corn sheller; I cannot find any local. This chain runs the "grain rattle" or grain elevator chain and it measures about - 1 1/4 x 1 1/2" ....maybe 1/4 inch round chain- and no - I cannot use the "flat" chain...this chain must be "round" to connect to the other chain. Im needing 1-2' of this chain.....used is fine. This grain chain has a "flat" paddle about every 4-5 links...."don't" need any paddles unless I find some....one or two would be great. Hope someone can help. Thanks!

I have lost the contact information but there is a place in Pa. Called McNair equipment that sells bi ders shellers etc plus parts. My old IHC oil type binder has chain like that and they had used in stock several years ago.

Maybe try this?
Try to copy and paste this.

It is called Malleable chain, It could be a No. 45 or No. 55 chain in 1944 the list price for 10 feet of No. 45 malleable was $ 2.10 and No. 55 for 10 feet was $ 2.30....So what model sheller do you want this chain for? That was I can check my parts book with your model of sheller and see what size chain you need...it maybe the same size link that is used on the cornbinder....I found a loop of 10 feet of malleable chain new old stock a couple of weeks ago at a dealer it was about half the size and sold it to me for $ 3.00 per foot

Hi there......been away for a few days; I cannot find a model or dont know where to look; It IS a McCormick-Deering corn sheller; my grand dad bought new I thought maybe in the 30's? Used it from farm to farm to shell for neighbors; im trying to restore it. It is belt driven - I can post a pic if that will help? It is the grain elevator chain - with flat paddles. Thank you !

Ok finally got this to open - yes...looks alot like mine - I think the grain chain would be the same! Thanks!

Sorry I couldn't get the pics to work. I used to be able to but don't know what happened this go around..

I have the same sheller. IH called it a 4-hole Power Sheller. Can get some literature sent to emailed to you possibly. I hope to run a couple loads of ear corn thru mine in a couple weeks. Mine is more rusty where yours is galvinized.

I will look for some chain for yyu and let you know.
