Gleaner K variable speed drifting zlower

Recently put new o-rings and some new hoses on valve blocks.Everything worked fine except vs would not work at all. Turned out that vs block was air locked. Bled it and all was fine. Started machine this morning and everything was fine except vs would run to fast speed and then drift down to slow with handle in neutral position rather quickly. Could it be air in line from valve to cylinder. Handle is letting spool valve center. THANKS

I suppose it could be air in the line. Have you bled it at the pulley end of the line?

Also- even though the handle and/or linkage may not be limiting valve spool travel, the spools themselves can stick. This causes all sorts of problems.

Thanks for reply Bob. Did bleed line from valve to cylinder and it would hold with upper sheaves fully closed but would drift to slow at any other setting. Looked in service book and said to have poppet valve assembly assembled so slot is pointed straight up to prevent bleed off. I will try that tomorrow as I had a wedding to attend today. Will keep you posted and thanks again.

After a second time of bleeding line it seems to be working fine now. Took it for a road test and sheaves held at speed I set. Thanks for replies
