trying to get some fixing time in on my massey 510. last year I could not move the concave lever in the cab. disconnected the lever from the concave and could move the concave with a bar but not lever. so took the lever off and got it unstuck. put it back on and still could not move it. does the maching need to be running to move the lever or do I need to keep looking for stuck parts?

on all three of the 510's that I had, the lever was stuck, always had to adjust concave with pry bar or big hammer. machine does not have to be running. gave up on trying to free up adjustment lever.

Same here had a 410 and a 550 always had to put a wrench on the hex shaft and someone in the cap to get it to move. For some reason the cap adjustment level is no set up right for it to move it easy.

if I remember correct there is a hex bushing on each end of the hex shaft that will rust up and the grease fitting on the cams don't do a good job of lubing them either, because their seldom if ever moved through their full range of motion, take them apart clean and lube them and they will move relative easy once the grease worms are fed, found that out the hard way repairing broken concave supports.
