Help with JD auger

I am replacing the bin fill auger on the 9500. Both the extension and the bottom section had about half of the flighting worn off.

I went to Deere and got the parts some time ago. When I went to assemble it there were a couple of parts present that I didn't have on mine when I look it apart. There was a weird worn spot though, so I think they likely wore so much they came off. I spent an hour with about three service techs and the manager at the dealership and NONE of their diagrams are detailed enough to tell

On the bottom shaft at the top end what is the parts order? From what I can gather from the fit I believe there should be a large convex washer, a felt ring with a rubber ring around the edge, then the carrier bearing, then the upper drive, then the nut. Does this sound right? The large washer, felt, and rubber rings are the pieces they can't find in a parts diagram. They fit perfectly and fill up the sloppy space on the shaft. I can't imagine I would have thrown these random parts into that bag if they weren't supposed to be there.

Anyone done these augers on a 9500?

I have done many of these and there is not any large washer, felt and rubber rings on the JD loading auger system. Now I am assuming you have a folding loading auger???? If your combine has a serial number under 660200 it would not have came with a folding auger from the factory. JD started offering them at serial number 660201 and up.

Your unloading auger setup sounds like a Mauer Folding auger KIT. There where also several other companies that made them too back then. Do you have an after market bin extension on your combine??? If you do then your auger maybe an aftermarket one from that same company.

If not then a prior owned may have stuck some thing in there. Here is the factory JD parts diagram for a folding auger.

The diagram is a little confusing at the support bearing. The picture is wrong. The parts order should be: The lower auger goes up through the bearing/bushing support. Then the upper drive hub goes on. Then a flat washer and then the nut. That is all that goes there on the JD factory setup.

I even went an looked up the JD 9510 and it is setup the same. When the 50 series came out they have a completely different setup.

So I am pretty sure yours is either after market or owner made.
