McCormick 123sp Combine

Thanks for sharing. Nice to see an original 123 rather then one that has been modified by aftermarket updates. Are you in 1st gear in the video? The oldest IH self propelled combines I have been able to find around here are the 125SPVs.

Thanks! The only thing it does have is the factory wide rear which was a factory option. In the video, yes I was in first but it will do well in 2ns also. I have a friend that has a 125spv.

Do you know what the differences are between a 123 vs 125 and a 125 SPV vs 125 SPVC? I have original brochures for the 123 and 125 SPV but not the other two.

This one originally would have had a narrow rear, but later on the wide was an option. They found out that a narrow rear didnt work well in soggy ground or softer type conditions.

Great video and a nice 123...I doubt that theres much over 5-10 restored 123's in the entire world..Dad used one from 1959-1962...

I own a 100% original 123 thats non running and it would be a job to fix up..It sat unused on a farm near Ransom,KS from the 1960's until 2009...

Unrestored $300-1,000 and restored I'd guess $3,000-$5,000???.....123's in any condition are few and far between..

Dad always said our 123 needed a gear between 1st and 2nd...Any pictures of yours and the friends 125? I have a on line picture album for all known 123-125-127 McCormicks..Thanks..

They actually made different drive gears for them. Mine is setup with the slower gear. It seems to work great. Ill see if i can fine my picture of the two 123sp's and the 125sp. My 123 is on the left, another good running 123 in the middle, and the 125 is on the right.
