We need to replace the feed drum in my nephew 1660.Question 1 how does it come out I don't want to take thing off that don't to be removed.Question 2 can it be replaced with a rock drum?

I had mine out of my 1680 last year to do some work on the feederhouse floor, the front drum is on pivot arms so you need to split the feederhouse chain and take bolts out of the arms to let the drum come out, I think there are some spacers on the bolts so make sure you know were they were. there are stops that the arms rest on for corn or beans they can stay in, the biggest things is to have help putting it back on and takes 2 people to get the bolts back in the arms for the drum.
