Setting JD 55 for wheat

I think this may be the year the 55eb finally gets put to work in some wheat that the neighbor has. Main question is what should my cylinder speed be? Currently it is at 619rpm and the manual has a rather wide range of settings for it and well changing sprockets is not as easy as a variable speed cylinder. I only have the sprockets that are on it 32 and 30 tooth, so what should I look for and does anyone have some laying around? Also my 55 is a EB so it has them darn perforations everywhere, I have a hunch the rattle chain conveyor will need a solid tray so the kernels don't fall through it?

Thanks Mitch

I'm just going off of memory but I think the standard rpms in wheat was around 1,050. Both my 55s and 95 all have the 26 tooth sprocket. I don't know how fast that would be but 619 is too slow.

For wheat You will need a 42 tooth on the beater shaft.,and a 27 tooth on the cylinder shaft. and YES! you will need solid bottoms on ALL conveyors,'pans',etc.Unloading auger if so equiped. all your wheat will fall right through the slots. What about sieves? are they 'normal'? or they a speacial wide/deep tooth ?Set the concave to (approx)1/4 to 3/8" (Front) and 3/16" on the rear(.Your 'mileage' may vary on this).
