Hello all! I am having problems with engine dying while in harvest mode. I replace the points/condenser with a pertronix ignition for the distributor. I recently had the carb rebuilt and have a electric fuel pump to aid in starting. runs great for while then just dies. I rigged up a switch from the battery to the distributor thinking there may be a problem in the harness that runs from the operators platform to the engine. When it does die, I switch back and forth a few times and it then starts running again for awhile, then the same problem happens again. any ideas? it has no resistor with this electronic setup, but the coil is marked to use with a resistor. New COIL???
