Been hearing about this 1420 IH thats been sitting 4-5 years. The older gentleman got cancer and quit farming. Stopped in to look at it today, seen it and a Massey square baler. Stopped at his house and talked to him. After talking about 20 minutes about life, I asked about the equiptment. He thought a minute and asked what I would give for the combine. I dont do business that way, its your machine you tell me. He asked if I would give $600 the machine, the 15 foot 1020 grain head and a Keewanee head cart. HELL YES Now the baler. Not used in 10-15 years. Has new knotters in a box. $300 SOLD Ill be there at first light to start the combine.

I have a very close and long time friend of mine who has a 1420. He runs a 20 foot 1020 flex platform in soybeans with it and a 4 row corn head. He loves the machine and talks of it being very fuel efficient with the German diesel engine. Has owned it since new. Likes its simplicity and good quality grain sample. If the machine is in any shape whatsoever, you got a very good buy! Congratulations to you and good luck with your "New To You" combine!

I bought a 3000 hour 1640 last year but had to give $8500 at a neighbors farm auction. Nice machine....sure do like it.

I'd say you got the bargain of the year. Congrats. I've only seen one 1420 in my life. Not much of a need for a combine that small out here in Montana. Heck even 1440s are rare out here.

I ran a 1640 for many years with a 20' platform and a 6 row head. A great machine. You will love it. I'd get that green cancerous off of it though. Just kidding.

$600??? the header carts worth that. 1420 is a good machine for corn, never ran minein beans. Make sure you use fuel additive and keep moisture out of the tank. Great little combine.
