Massey Harris 35

I'm a Deere guy so I don't know much about other older combines. There is an auction this weekend very close by. There are two Massey Harris 35's in a barn that are going to be sold. I don't know any details about them. I will not be able to look at them until the day of the sale. One has Massey Ferguson decals and has the grain bin and also has a sacker attachment with platform. This machine came from a Mississippi Research Farm according to decals. I've only seen a few pictures that were not very good. There aren't any combine collectors around these parts so I'd say they would be more likely to get bought by the scrap man. Let me know if anyone would be interested in these machines please. I don't think they would go with the 45 Deere in the barn to well. ha ha Thanks. Chris

That was kind of my thinking Case Nutty. If someone just wanted an old combine that would be a good one if nothing else for the easy of hauling it. Thanks

please let us know what they go for. There was one in ohio a couple of weeks ago and never did find out what it went for,. Hope to get one in the future. Perfect size for my farm. But got to wait till i got $ and a shed for it. :D

Well the sale went pretty well for collectors. The combines were not in as good of shape as I had hoped for. There were two other guys there willing to buy them just to keep them from going to a scrapper. One of them had memories of riding a 35 with his granddad and wanted them just to have. He ended up buying the pair so they could stay together. The one with the Massey Ferguson decals actually had a Massey Harris serial number plate on it. The real for that machine had been taken off and put inside another barn. It was in good shape. The Massey Ferguson brought $150 and the Massey Harris brought $100. I took a few pictures. I'll try to post them if I can get everything to work.

Well something isn't working. When I type the message and select the pictures it shows up in the box but when I preview it there is no picture showing anywhere. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong???

I bet those are the two I used to see on ebay for much higher. There was two of them so I'm guessing they were it. Glad they were saved.

Try again.
