JD 55 Question

I'm replacing the engine driven v-belt which operates the unloading auger. The large v-belt pulley (which has a sprocket driving a chain to the unloading auger) is off now. As I replace the "arm" which holds this large pulley, does the end toward the grain tank go in front of or behind the flange (a flat, square plate) which is part of the engaging mechanism? I have a service manual and an operators manual--neither show clearly, but it looks to me as if the large pulley will be mis-aligned if it is behind. Can you help, please? Thanks, kelly
