I had an opportunity to buy my first combine back about four years ago. It was an early IH 303. Got it running and did some minor repairs. With shed space being short, I sold it to a neighbor who hobby farms about four acres of corn. I delivered the bean head on my hay rack the corn head was on the combine. That was about a year ago. Last Summer I mentioned that we should unload the bean head off of the hay rack so I could use it for hay. He said he was planning on hauling the head to the local iron buyer. I have not pushed him since about getting my rack back as I hate to see the head junked. The head had a floating cutting bar helper springs, and the robot valve. It needed some reel bats replaced. Perhaps somebody needs a platform for a 303 and I can try to broker a deal.
