John Deere 95

I have been on the road most of the week. Going through the photo adds I came across this John Deere 95. Most of you know I am a Minneapolis Moline / Oliver man but this is close to home and personally ... I think this is a heck of a deal. If the link doesn't work look in the photo ads in the Kansas section.

And if he hauls it for you, he can back haul that Case 150 back to Kansas and I could pick it up there???????

Yes but we can dream can't we?
I wouldn't give up on finding a home for the 150 yet. The buyer might just be me but I don't think I want to haul that thing over those little hills you have around there. Back in the 40s and 50s, you must have gotten your combines by flatbed railcar. Can't imagine them being shipped by truck.

Avoid I70(denver/mountain coridor) at all cost. Best way for you is to take CO 13 from Rifle through Meeker to Craig allthe way to(789) Rawlins,Wyoming. Then go east on I80.Or north from Rawlins north to Sheridan. The only 'hills' are between Rifle and Craig, and they are not bad.

My Dad had a Case 150 combine. I have a new belt that powered the machine. It is about 6 inches wide probably 3 feet long.

PLEASE!!Someone buy that 150 before Jack cuts it up! However,Ryan talked of mailing a check......

I looked at it again Delta, no matter how you slice it it's 900 miles one way to haul a combine with a pickup.
I just don't know if I want to commit to that but I would work with anyone willing to haul it part way.
If it was a tractor or most anything else legal width and height or most anything with less wind resistance it
would be more do-able.
If someone near you could get it to Sheridan or better yet, Gillette, then I would have renewed interest.
I thought I had pictures of it but I'm not finding them. My email is open if you want to send me a few to
refresh my memory what this machine looks like. Don't let the old boy cut it up. 150s are scarce.

In 2008 I hauled a SP-12 Case over 400 miles with no problems...It pulled easier than some combines..While fueling up at Winfield,KS Roger stopped in for a visit...

Your hired !!! It's only about 500 miles to Gillette for you.
I wanted to visit Case Nutty anyway so we could do the swap in his yard.
I'm sure he'd be glad to help another YT member and collector.
Do you feel your arm being twisted??? Hee Hee

I checked some distances...From my place to Deltas is 850 miles....From Deltas to Gillette,WY is 550 miles, and from Gillette,WY back to my place is 940 miles...That would be quite a trip wouldn't it.....

Ah huh. And 1800 miles round trip for me. As much as I'd like to give that machine a home, I just can't get excited about the time and expense involved in that kind of trip. And the only thing worse than pulling a loaded gooseneck trailer that far is pulling an empty gooseneck trailer for half the trip. :p

I made a nearly 1500 mile round trip after a 21 Massey and said never again...One day out,one day at the sale where the 21 sold just before dark, and started loading it at 6 am the next morning with a thunderstorm close by...Left there at 9 am and made it home 15 hours later totally exhausted....I kept telling myself that I was having fun..

Many people have no idea the dedication it takes to save a few of these machines from the scrap yard.
My hats off to you and all your efforts in chasing old combines. I for one want you to know how much I
appreciate all you have done in this arena.

I have maybe 8 combines and 8 swathers here and they were NOT fun to haul so I know all about what your up against.
I still have a nice Pull Type swather up near Canada and a guy with 2 Case 1000s who wants me to buy his combines.
Of course, he's not healthy enough to help so (I) have to move all the dead tractors and hydraulic lift implements out of the way and trim a few trees and do some halfass carpenter work to his doors to get them open, empty out his shed because they're buried, and bring my own loader to pull them out and he'll still want top dollar for them because if I want them, they must be worth something. *roll* On the other hand, I think they can just sit there another 40 years.
