Gleaner K2 Unloading Auger Won't pivot

The unloading Auger on the (new to me) K2 will not pivot. The cylinder moves a touch but that is all. I am going to pull the chain off of the cylinder and check to make sure that the cylinder travels by itself, what should I check after that.

Thanks,
Matthew

K2 is manual hyd, not elec over hyd, right? Then I"d check the linkage for slippage at the set screw, and obstruction in the valve that prevents adequate valve travel.

Correct, manual hyd. I will check the linkage and make sure it is engaging the valve all of the way. Thanks

Look in between ring and housing, balls could have a lot of rust. Small movement in cylinder could be the chain loosing it's slack. Get another person to push up on unloading tube while other runs the hydraulics, if it will swing, lube the ring where the balls are, and move it in and out till it moves freely, newer machines are greasable. Keep the ring area well lubed.

I worked on mine on a F2 last year. Wasn't a problem with the hydraulics though.

Hope this is the right topic, in case you're interested. http://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1235522&highlight=
